This discussion takes place on Zoom on September 18 at 6:00 p.m. PST.\n\n\nClick here to register \n\n\nAFW volunteer pilot Tony Schwarz will share his experience flying with Angel Flight West and address some common questions or concerns pilots may have before flying a first mission. Since joining AFW in 2017\, Tony has donated 92 flights for patients to access far-off medical care. \n\n\nThis town hall is targeted toward new and prospective AFW volunteer pilots\, and those that are new to flying missions\, but we encourage current Command Pilots to join to show support. \n\n\nPlease note\, new volunteer info sessions will take place quarterly moving forward\, rotating between evening and lunchtime offerings. \n \nTown hall sessions last anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour. DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, September 29 – Colorado Fly-In – \n \nCurrent volunteers and those interested in learning more about Angel Flight West are invited to this year’s Colorado fly-in. Join us on September 29 from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.\, hosted by Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in the Mt. Evans room. Bring the family\, network with other pilots\, participate in a safety session with FAAST Representative Maj. John Mitchell\, CAP\, and enjoy lunch together.\n\n\nSafety Topic: The mental health of our pilots and crews and a review of the Five Basic Attitudes inherent in all aspects of flight.\n\nThe presentation is titled Missions with a Healthy (Mental) (Attitude) and applies to everyone involved with the flight; from pre-flight preparation\, flight\, and post flight. We will take a look at each of the attitudes and explore their effects on your mission assignment based on your experience\, flight hours\, credentials and where and how often you fly.\n\nThis will be interactive so come prepared to participate. The presentation is designed to be one hour in length so plan to come\, become involved\, ask questions and enjoy the fellowship of fellow aviators.\n\n\nPlease feel free to share these events with other potential volunteers and supporters. We hope to see you there!\nNot involved with Angel Flight West? Come learn more about our charitable flying!
