Drive Hope Forward
Not every Angel Flight West mission begins and ends at the airport.
Earth Angels are volunteer drivers who help passengers complete the final leg of their journey — providing transportation between the airport, medical facilities, lodging, or other approved destinations. For many passengers, this simple act of kindness removes the final barrier to accessing life-changing care.

Where Does AFW Need New Drivers?
Angel Flight West proudly serves 12 Western states by helping patients travel long distances between their homes and medical care. Typically, our patients fly from their homes to the following metropolitan areas to access treatment. We need Earth Angels who are willing to drive between local airports and healthcare facilities in and around these cities:
- Denver, CO
- Los Angeles Basin
- Phoenix, AZ
- Portland, OR
- Salt Lake City, UT
- San Diego, CA
- San Francisco Bay Area
- Seattle, WA
- Spokane, WA

Real Stories, Real Impact
“Growing up, my sister battled sickle cell disease and underwent a bone marrow transplant. I remember my parents driving hundreds of miles to get her to life-saving appointments, and seeing that inspired me to volunteer as an Earth Angel. If I can help ease that burden for another family even in a small way, it’s an honor.”
– Chek Uwakwe, Earth Angel Driver
”Marlene isn’t just a driver to me. She’s a good friend. We’ve gotten to know each other really well through our trips. She’s an incredible lady and I feel honored to know her and spend that time with her in the car.”
