We’re thrilled to introduce AFW’s newest board member, Mary Noli Pilkington!
Mary is the Senior Director of The Department of Care Coordination and Clinical Social Work at UCLA Health: Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center; UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital; UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, UCLA West Valley Medical Director, Transplant Services, and pediatric ambulatory care.
As Senior Director, Mary provides direction to a group of leaders that oversee teams of Clinical Case Managers, Clinical Social Workers, analysts, and administrative staff. Mary’s staff work directly with patient coordinating care as they enter and transition from home to hospital and hospital to home. Mary has implemented various programs and initiatives at UCLA Health to support the mission, vision, and organizational goals of UCLA Health. Incorporating Quintuplet AIM strategies, this team of clinician’s support delivery of whole person care. The Department of Care Coordination and Clinical Social Work staff assist patients to ensure that the unique needs and situations for patients are addressed.
Mary co- chairs the readmission reduction program for the Health System which is incorporating Health Equity strategies to serve the most vulnerable patient populations. Mary has been practicing at UCLA where she has been employed for 19 years.
Mary’s thirty-year nursing career includes extensive complex case management practice in the inpatient academic medical environment, home health arena, and ambulatory care settings. Mary has held the position Director of Operations for a national Paramedical company as well as an early nursing career as a bedside nurse in Coronary Care.
Mary received a master’s degree in nursing, with a specialization in Care Coordination, and is a national presenter of Case Management Models, and Strategies. Mary has additionally published articles regarding Collaborative Case Management as well as innovative technologies to support excellence in patient care for at-risk patient populations. Mary holds a certification in case management practice.
