A message from Utah Wing Leader Lou Rossi
Our Utah Wing Volunteers really stepped up this year for our annual Santa Flight! We had 24 Airplanes and one helicopter delivering donated clothing, books, supplies and, of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus and their elves to the students of Ashley Elementary School, who were assembled inside the Classic Aviation Hangar at Vernal Airport.
Not only that, but the school identified eight families that were especially in need this year. I sent an email out to the wing, and I had eight volunteers (one for each family) who answered the call within minutes of my email, to shop and donate the requested items for these families. Moreover, I was able to present cash donations to the Principal of the school for over $4500.00 and a handmade commemorative quilt created by one of our Earth Angels.
Overall, it was an incredibly heartwarming and successful event that was full of Christmas Spirit and Joy!
