Hello AFW Northern CA members!
I’m excited to announce our Angel Flight West Northern CA Fly-in event, Sat Aug 28th from 11:00 – 3:00 at Byron Airport (C83). This infamous annual event is held in the Patriots Jet Team hangar, full of cold war era jet fighters along with the Patriots’ L-39 team planes. Come join us for an afternoon of BBQ, fun and camaraderie as you’ll have a chance to meet other AFW pilots, Earth Angels and staff from the Angel Flight West office including our Executive Director, Josh Olson and Director of Wing Operations, Ivan Martinez. Byron is an easy destination for flying or driving and is surrounded by lush fruit orchards and the beautiful San Francisco delta waters.
Come join us for this spectacular event which will be in the open air hangar so that we can optimize social-distancing while promoting those great new friendships and acquaintances that can only happen with in-person events such as this. Also featured will be some short presentations on:
For those flying in to join us, please use caution and monitor CTAF carefully when approaching the airport as there will be both skydiving and glider operations likely during your arrival.
