A Holiday Letter from Our Executive Director

Dear Supporter,

This holiday season, patients in your community need your help.

For thousands of individuals and families, transportation remains a barrier to essential medical care. But with your support,we can continue to serve those who need us most by making the gift of flight possible for people who count on Angel Flight West.

Meet our passenger, eight-year-old Eli. At just two years old, he was diagnosed with intractable epilepsy — a condition that makes it difficult to control his seizures. Eli and his family live in Silt, Colorado, nearly 650 miles from his treatment at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Reaching his neurologist meant frequent and exhausting drives across state lines, but Angel Flight West (AFW) has changed that. Together, we’ve saved Eli’s family time, money, and the burden of a 20-hour round trip to reach his important appointments. “AFW always finds a way to get us to Phoenix Children’s and back home,” says Eli’s mom Savannah. “The volunteer pilots are wonderful. When Eli doesn’t feel his best, he can relax in their planes.”

Eli’s story is one of thousands made possible through AFW’s network of supporters and volunteers.

Your generosity helps ensure that every patient — from children like Eli to adults fighting serious illness — can reach the care they need, free of charge.

Our Board of Directors added $20,000 to their matching gift! Give by December 23, and your tax-deductible gift will be DOUBLED — at no extra cost to you.

Thank you for believing in Angel Flight West’s mission and for helping us give hope to so many. From our board, staff, and volunteers, we wish you a happy holiday season.

With gratitude,

Mary Hunter
