Bette Gardner is founder and senior educator at Breakthrough Learning, a Portland-based company that develops team learning tools and methods for improving performance. She was previously CEO of Breakthrough Learning; co-owner of HealthWorks, a healthcare management consulting firm; Vice President for Planning and Development at San Jose Medical Center, an urban hospital and trauma center; Director of Health Planning and Socioeconomic Policy at California Medical Association; and has held board positions with several Bay Area nonprofits. An Angel Flight West volunteer pilot since 2009, Bette flies a Columbia 350.
