1. Could you tell us about your current occupation? How long have you been working in this position? Why did you become interested in your field?

I’ve been working as a clinical director at a nonprofit organization for three and a half years. I became interested in the role because it allows me to combine my clinical expertise with my passion for serving the community. As a clinical director, I have the opportunity to shape the quality of care provided, mentor and support a team of clinicians, and develop impactful programs that address the needs of underserved populations.

2. How did you hear about Angel Flight West? When did you start requesting flights with AFW?

I heard about AFW through my organization. I started requesting flights about three years ago.

3. How have your experiences requesting flights from AFW been? Have there been any particularly impactful experiences that you have had that you would like to share?

The staff at AFW are great to work with and always very helpful. Booking flights has always been easy. It’s clear that AFW representatives care about the people they serve.

I don’t have one standout experience to share, but I want to recognize the positive difference AFW makes for people and their families. It can be really stressful to figure out how to get yourself or a loved one to Anchorage for medical care that isn’t available in Kodiak. AFW helps ease that stress by providing tickets to Anchorage. I know people in Kodiak who have received help from AFW truly appreciate it.

4. What would you want other healthcare workers or nonprofit partners to know about AFW?

AFW is a great organization that always puts others first. They are easy to work with, and we feel lucky to partner with them.
