What is Hard IFR? February 20, 2022 Winter is almost over (but not quite) and the weather is changing. Spring is a time of quickly developing weather systems and unpredictable weather. Not that long ago I sat in my house in the Cascade foothills at 1,800 MSL and watched the effects of the portion of the “bomb cyclone” that passed through our region. We didn’t get it as bad as other places like Northern California but I was looking at hig… Kaitlyn McQuown Read More »

This camp is designed specifically for children with very serious medical issues. Unfortunately, due to both of my children’s medical challenges, money is typical… afw_web_admin Read More »
A Mission Moment by No. CA Command Pilot Dave Lombard October 24, 2018 Worthy of the Trust I have been flying Angels for about 14 years. I think over that time, I have pretty much seen it all. My first mission was a woman from northeastern California who was suffering from colon cancer. I also flew one of her neighbors who had breast cancer. They have both passed on. I live in the central California foothills, adjacent to the great San Joaquin Valley where we feed the world. There are a lot of ki… afw_web_admin Read More »

Ask Josh: What’s the deal with the AFW call sign? April 14, 2015 For anyone not aware, Angel Flight West has a unique three-letter call sign (NGF) designated by the FAA for handling, priority and marketing.
